Milky Mushroom (Calocybe Indica)

Milky Mushroom (Calocybe Indica) is a commonly cultivated tropical mushroom that easily grows on a variety of substrates. It produces well on pasteurized straw and treated sawdust blocks.  This species favors a peat moss casing layer to stimulate fruiting.  It has a excellent shelf life compared to the common oyster mushrooms. This culture will die under refrigeration or if temperatures drop below 55F should NOT be ordered during winter months but perfect for growing in the summer heat.

 

Substrate: Straw or sterilized sawdust  (case with peat moss)
Colonization/Fruiting Temperatures: 80-85F/85-95F

 

Caution : Shipping this culture in cold weather may kill it.
