Pear-shaped puffball (Apioperdon pyriforme)

The pear-shaped puffball, is a species of fungus present throughout much of the world, growing on decaying wood. It is considered a choice edible when still immature and the inner flesh is white. They can be used fresh, or cut into thin slices for drying, which can then be pulverized for use as a flavoring powder
