Red Chanterelle (Cantharellus cinnabarinus)

Ranging from flamingo pink to a deep autumnal orange color. The Red Chanterelle is a rare, beautiful and delicious edible mushroom which is closely related to their more well-known cousin the Yellow Chanterelle and they have the same fruity aroma reminiscent of apricots.

Chanterelles cannot be grown indoors, they are mycorrhizal and must form a relationship with conifer trees. You can create grain spawn and bury it in holes near Conifer trees. If conditions are favorable you may have beautiful and delicious chanterelles the next season. It can sometimes take years or even decades for chanterelles to establish.
