Wine Cap (Golden)(Stropharia rugosoannulata var. lutea)

Wine Cap (Stropharia rugoso-annulata) is a large and adaptive edible species best suited for outdoor cultivation even though Indoor cultivation is possible, but requires an unsterile casing and is slow to fruit. Best to bury a fully colonized block outside in the spring or use as spawn to create outdoor beds.

 

Substrate: hardwood chips and sawdust, straw and composts
Colonization/Fruiting Temperatures: 70-80F/60-70F
